After many years of operating in TT scale, the model railroad association 7/11 Aschersleben e.V. looked for new themes and ideas to bridge a gap in the market, more than ever a theme to plan for the future. For several months of brainstorming, an O scale layout became apparent in a pool of four projects. So we go for it. To entering into construction of a US O layout was an additional reason, because we modelers are more interested in older trains and equipment, especially in the late 60s.

In December 2004, we could test the layout for the first time in the probebetrieb. Two years later, in spring of 2007, we can drive in complete circle and with finish scenery. Now we are in construction period to build a track to a chemical factory ........
We build this layout in team work. But I´m the specialist for weathering and "Q-transforming" of the rolling stock.
